Earlville Opera House (EOH) Arts Center enriches the Central New York community through the visual and performing arts while preserving its beautiful 1892 historic theater for future generational use.

As one of the oldest non-profit cultural organizations in Chenango County, EOH was founded in 1972 as a non-profit community service organization promoting the arts in rural Central New York by offering programs of cultural, educational and historical significance. Key EOH programs include a wide range of eclectic culturally diverse visual and performing arts programs represented through rotating gallery exhibitions; a live performance series; arts workshops; classes and arts education opportunities for all populations. First Baptist Church is a family church located at 10 West Park Place next to the County Courthouse in the center of town. We have a long history of serving the people in our community.  The stone to build the churchh came from the quarry on West Hill. The church houses a pipe organ, piano and keyboard used by our accomplished music leader, James Dwyer. The church houses nine huge stained glass windows purchased by members, three of which are illuminated in the evening and are viewed from West Park.

The church is fully accessible on all levels. It also has an upgraded sound system with accommodations for hearing impaired individuals. First Baptist Church initiated the programs of "The Place", our downtown youth center which has grown to serve many families in our community.

Mission Giving is a focus of our church. Our local missions include Our Daily Bread Food Closet at the Episcopal Church, The Place, Chenango County Habitat for Humanity and Springbrook with quarterly distributions to these entities.
We also host a monthly Diaper Distribution with items to assist young families with diapers, wipes, clothing and equipment needs. Our reach to assist people with their daily needs is a high priority for us.

You are always welcome here, whether visiting or returning to your hometown. Stop by and see us! Service information is available on Facebook at First Baptist Church, Norwich, NY or call 607-336-2509.
