First Baptist Church is a family church located at 10 West Park Place next to the County Courthouse in the center of town. We have a long history of serving the people in our community.  The stone to build the churchh came from the quarry on West Hill. The church houses a pipe organ, piano and keyboard used by our accomplished music leader, James Dwyer. The church houses nine huge stained glass windows purchased by members, three of which are illuminated in the evening and are viewed from West Park.

The church is fully accessible on all levels. It also has an upgraded sound system with accommodations for hearing impaired individuals. First Baptist Church initiated the programs of "The Place", our downtown youth center which has grown to serve many families in our community.

Mission Giving is a focus of our church. Our local missions include Our Daily Bread Food Closet at the Episcopal Church, The Place, Chenango County Habitat for Humanity and Springbrook with quarterly distributions to these entities.
We also host a monthly Diaper Distribution with items to assist young families with diapers, wipes, clothing and equipment needs. Our reach to assist people with their daily needs is a high priority for us.

You are always welcome here, whether visiting or returning to your hometown. Stop by and see us! Service information is available on Facebook at First Baptist Church, Norwich, NY or call 607-336-2509.
